The FIFA World Cup 2026 takes  place from 11 June 2026 to 19 July 2026, bringing together national teams from around the world to compete in football’s most prestigious international tournament.

For the first time in the history of the competition, the tournament is hosted by three countries: the United States, Canada, and Mexico. Matches  are played across multiple cities in the three host nations.

The 2026 edition  features an expanded format with 48 teams.   increased from 32 in previous tournaments. This change has been introduced by FIFA to broaden global participation and allow more national associations to take part in the final competition.
